Use your spoken language glossary to help you identify the spoken language features used.  Remember to follow the steps:

  1. Identify the spoken language feature used.  
  2. Speculate about what may have influenced the speaker to use the feature.  Think of more than one reason.
  3. Explain the effects the spoken language feature has on the audience.  Remember, there are two audiences - the people in the boardroom and the viewers watching at home.
